This will be our Feb pub night, not the 2nd Wednesday.
There will be Kiwi Food, from lamb chops to meat pies, and lots of Kiwi’s from Kia Ora Canada – Toronto putting back a cold one or two.
Prizes, Raffles and giveaways will be announced… stay tuned!
We are hopeful our Kapa Haka group will be back,. NGA IWI OTE O which means simply..” People of the World ” . The group is multi cultural as the name indicates. A tutor from the Hastings / Napier based kapa haka group Kahurangi, gave them the title. The group performed at the 1976 Montreal Olympics shortly after formed through the Tranzac Club In Toronto.

Our Aussie mates are doing an Australia Day fundraiser.

Let’s do our part to raise money and awareness for the devastation back in Australia.
We are partnering with the Red Cross Australian Bushfire Relief Fund (online donation available in Canada with tax receipt coming soon) and Wildlife Victoria ( https://www.wildlifevictoria.org.au/ ) to help the animals affected.
Our family friendly event kicks off Sunday January 26th from 1pm at Hemingway’s, 142 Cumberland Street, Yorkville, Toronto.
ALL PROCEEDS as detailed below will be donated directly to the above charities.
Silent Auction (runs from 1pm – 6pm, various items available, more to come)
Sausage Sizzle (runs from 1pm – 7pm, $7 a snag and fully donated)
Raffles and Prize draws (will be operating all day)
Live Music – will be played downstairs from 1pm, we have many talented musicians donating their performance
Australia Day/Fundraiser T-shirt ($20 each, available to the first 250 guests and fully donated)
Amsterdam Brewery 3speed Lager ($2 from every pint will be donated)
We have some fantastic prizes already donated, but we would love to add between now and January 20th. If you have something to donate, please email aussiefundraiser@hemingways.to with details.
